Welcome to 1st
grade! We will start the year off on the 'right' foot as we
remember to always - Put Your Best Foot Forward.
I am
very excited to get the year going and getting to know your
children. The first couple of weeks we will be reviewing some
skills and concepts from Kindergarten as we get to know each
other.
We will be reviewing letters/sounds and blending words. We
will spend time reviewing our high frequency words and enjoying
great books/stories as we remember key comprehension strategies.
Our math focus the first couple of weeks will involve becoming
acquainted with the numbers once again as well as addition and
subtraction skills.
We will enjoy learning about each other and how our classroom
operates. Please remember our school wide rules: Be
